RE: The first Bankruptcy of an HOA in Arizona

Ken,

Could you let us know why you chose to unsubscribe?  Homeowners have lost their most basic rights in HOAs. I live in a HOA and I can tell you first hand of the unethical and illegal practices of my HOA.We just settled a case with our HOA. Had we gone to trial, I am convinced they would have been the second HOA to go bankrupt. While I recognize there may be well run HOAs, there are many that are not and need accountability.  If more HOAs go bankrupt, it could be possible that some of the services fall back on the cities and towns and counties. If that occurs, that may affect you as a tax payer.  Be informed, even if you don't live in an HOA.
"Evil flourishes when good men do nothing."

Best Regards,
Paulla

You are saying, in writing, these people "…seek to bury their head in the sand and not learn and benefit from what looks increasingly like the first bankruptcy of an HOA in Arizona, and maybe nationwide".  This is called 'libel' and the 1st Amendment doesn't protect you.  So good luck with that!

John,
What the hell!!  This is absolutely outrageous that you would put people on report like this.  There could be a number of reasons why they (and now I) chose to unsubscribe from your blog that have nothing to do with their interest in the topic at hand.  You owe these people an apology.  If my name was on this list, you'd be hearing from my attorney.

Dear Ken
The Arizona Homeowners Forum Blog recently posted the news of the imminent bankruptcy announced by Carpenter Hazlewood last week of The Crossings at Willow Creek Prescott HOA.
Our same blog also today posted communications with Carpenter Hazlewood re this imminent event and an order issued last week by the Arizona Department of Real Estate requiring then to give up records requested almost 18 months ago. Please consult the blog for details at www.arizonahoa.blogspotcom
What is remarkable is that this announcement by email triggered a flood of requests to unsubscribe by certain CAI members.
Why would any CAI professional seek to bury their head in the sand and not learn and benefit from what looks increasingly like the first bankruptcy of an HOA in Arizona, and maybe nationwide?
It also includes TWO Banks – US Bank and Alliance Association. Why would a bank be uninterested in bankruptcy?
Thankfully you all as addresses of this have NOT buried your head in the sands like those below
Regards
